Nicodemas - Beyond the Name
First and foremost, this site is not about Nicodemas, the Pharisee who spoke with Jesus Christ. My choosing of this name for my personal website was not inspired by religious disposition, nor any biblical embrace. I do admit, though, that I find it oddly intriguing the sort of relevance the name has in the bible and even among people my age due to the animated film "The Rats of Nimh".
Note, this is also not about Nicodemas the magic rat.
Rather, this domain name, and website is about me. It's about who writes, who thinks, and whose spirit lies behind the HTML.
Nicodemas is a name that I took on as a penname/alias/psuedoname a long time ago. It has described many aspects of me at many different times. Sometimes I question whether I am him, or he is me. What I do not question, however, is that the name I have taken as my own here on the web has been a large part of my creative work. From programming, poetry, and fictional characters, they have all been a product of, or have a correlation to this secondary persona that is neither dominant nor submissive to the other. Instead, he's always there. A "meta-me".
